I have been trying to grind fed rank (for the only good reason) and I hit a snag getting to ochosi ( same thing happens when I try to go to sothis) my fsd won't chart a route there (it's probably got a jump out if my fsd range) so the most obvious thing I did was I took my Krait and engendered the fsd but it still won't chart a route and another problem I have is currently I have just enough credits to have a rebuy so yeaaaa (also i play on Xbox)

I just got Elite Dangerous on my PS4 and am lost and don’t know where to begin. I have already died 3 Times, one time because I accidentally drove close to the sun and managed to burn my ship, and the other 2 times because I ran out of fuel. I tried completing a mission but was unsuccessful because I don’t know how to interact with stuff because we can’t get out and walk around so my SRV blew up so I had to abandon the mission.
I thought about doing some mining but I don’t know how to mine I did the tutorial but wasn’t clear where we need to go to get a mining laser, refiner, or upgrade our ships, etc.
Where do I go to get new Modules for my ship? (So I can mine, or fuel scoop, or upgrade my ship so it does better)
How can I scan planets? ( Do I need a detailed scanner module )
I would also like people to answer to this how they started and what you would tell someone just starting out to do? (Comment some tips, tricks to help people get a good start)

Hi residential noob at this game but still love it
I went all the way to federation controlled space an all that I can find are imp stations like where are all the fed controled space stations. So I have a course set in to the capital of the feds ad am heading towards it should I be going some where else?

I want to buy a Corvette and a cutter I know I have to rank grind for both can I get both or do I have to settle for one faction? I've only been playing for 2 days now
Since acquiring a Thargoid probe from some wreckage while on a black box mission I'm being constantly interdicted and scanned by them. It was great the first couple of times but subsequent occasions have become rather boring. It's not like I have the probe in my cargo hold anymore either..
