I was returning to diaguandri the other day and an NPC tried to interdict me. I avoided it but when I checked my panel, it was a federation navy ship. My understanding is interdictions are illegal. I wasnt carrying illegal passengers or cargo and I'm currently not wanted. Anyone else had the same?
What's on your mind?
As the title states, I’m new and trying to get more money. My current ship is the Cobra MK III and it’s mostly equipped for mining, and I do most of my mining in Triton. What are other ways I could get money?
Edit: I may also try exploration, as that’s the thing that attracted me to the game
In my mission to go to a bunch of notable places within or near the bubble!
If you would like to suggest a destination for me, please use the format below!
How far away from Sol
Why is it interesting?
Risk level X/10
Anything else you want to say
(I’m already doing Gen ships)
Many Thanks, Elite Fan
The wiki page notes:
"SRVs have a Wave Scanner which is a unidirectional long-range forward facing scanner that detects a variety of vehicles and points of interest."
Which is it? 'Unidirectional' or 'forward facing'? These are mutually-exclusive descriptions.
Curious if there's anything I can learn based on the name of a station. I see the following in names:
Searched a bit but didn't find anything. If there's a resources explaining, please share a link. Thanks!
I’m on a quest to see a bunch of notable places within the bubble! I’ve seen Mitterrand Hollow and I’m looking for other places without permits that are unique and interesting!
We all know how much of a chore grinding for fed and imp rank is. Heres my tip for empire rank. I ranked up to Duke from Baron using a Clipper with 2 cabins. System was Liabeze. All transport missions and a few passenger missions paid 3 to 5 rep and most, just one jump away. This all took around 18 hours with 1 or 2 avoided interdictions. Probably too long for some but the point is, I made over 50 million credits whilst doing it and dont need to further grind for a Cutter.
Believe it or not, I have just recently discovered Elite Dangerous. It is like a dream come true, roaming the galaxy to explore and discover and try not to die.
Ok, I REALLY want to explore. However, it looks like even the most minimal ship is millions of credits. How can a newby explore, or do I have to build up credits in other ways and just save my money?
Recently, me and a friend tried to go to mitterland Hollow in Multicrew. We had trouble with our insertion and eventually settled on sitting near it’s orbit and waiting for it to come by.
What we did was essentially stand in front of a moving train hoping to get on, and it worked.
Beautiful views, 10/10 would recommend
Mitterrand Hollow, Moon of New Africa, Epsilon Indi system, Inner Orion Arm
If I were to buy the deluxe edition would I also get odyssey on release?
This location is well known to veteran commanders but thought I would post this for new players. You will get manufactured materials from combat but if you prefer to avoid combat, go to Hyades Sector DR-V c2-23 and search for Davs Hope, Land and collect all sorts of materials scattered around the site. Log out and repeat. Heat vanes, chemical manipulatiors plus many other high grade materials.
