The Advanced Tactical Response, or ATR, are elite security units that are deployed to take down criminals (players and NPCs) with a high notoriety level. When criminals repeatedly commit crimes in succession, they will eventually draw the attention of the ATR. Their main purpose is to prevent commanders from operating above the law and to stop criminal activities. They support standard system Security Forces if they're overwhelmed.[1][2]

ATR have heavily armed and engineered ships to confront the most powerful criminal pilots.[2] They can chase criminals away from an area or neutralize them. They're not indestructible, but really hard to kill.

ATR are not active in Anarchy Systems, because it's lawless so you can't be wanted or trigger security.[2]
