Metal asteroids

Metal asteroids and a viper

Asteroids are the leftover material from the formation of a star system. They're too small to form a planet and didn't collide with a planet. They can consist of carbon (Type C), metal (Type M) and stone (Type S).

Asteroids that collide with planets can cause mass extinctions such as the extinction of the dinosaurs on Earth.

Many planets and gas giants have planetary rings. It consists of shattered pieces of comets, moons and asteroids.[1]

Dozens of asteroid bases have been built inside big asteroids. They're located in deep space.

A miner can extract minerals and metals from asteroids with a mining laser. A collector drone scoops the materials for refinement on-board a ship.

The Asteroid Miner is a megaship that transports and extracts minerals of asteroids.
