A Power is a powerful individual of a faction who strives to control inhabited space in Powerplay. Each power attempts to expand influence and control in star systems. Extract resources to finance expansion and protect exploited systems.
Powers are distinct entities compared to minor and major factions. Each Power controls a vast amount of systems. Each system is aligned to major and minor factions.
Many powers are aligned directly with major factions, but some are independent entities. A Power that is aligned with a major faction can also scheme against fellow allies of the same faction. Individual Powers have different Ethos which are effective against particular government types. Ultimately every Power operates with their own agenda.

Rating Rewards[]
In the table below "P.N." are preparation nominations; "P.C." are power commodities. Ship components, awarded at rating 3 can be obtained after being pledged to the respective power for 4 weeks.
Multiple levels can be gained per week, but Merits are halved each week after Powerplay cycle.
Access to power-specific modules that the powers reward their supporters with is only available while pledged to a power.
