A Distress Beacon is a type of Point of Interest that can be detected from orbit and accessed while On Foot or in a SRV.

A Distress Beacon site may contain the wreckage of a crashed F63 Condor. Various commodity canisters are scattered nearby, and an Arc Cutter can be used to open a Maglock hatch on the Condor itself to obtain Components. It can also contain an inactive SRV, which may contain an active Power Regulator.
