Geysers are vents in the surface of a planet or moon which periodically release hot water or steam. Geysers can take time to build up the correct amount of pressure to erupt, so they are not always active, which can make them difficult to spot from high altitudes. Some geysers, known as ice geysers or cryogeysers, release ice, dust, and volatiles. Geysers are not to be confused with Fumaroles, Gas Vents, or Lava Spouts.

Geysers are vents in the surface of a planet or moon which have periodical eruptions of hot water and steam. They're rare on planets without atmospheres, but are present in the in-game galaxy. They don't always vent, because it takes time to build up pressure. This makes them hard to spot.

There are six known types of geysers:

*Ammonia Ice Geysers
It's possible to propel an SRV into the air by sitting on top of a geyser. For example in this video an SRV jumps 13 km high at a geyser on Enceladus in Sol.

Asp Geyser in BD+74 526 B 3 A

Geysers and an Asp Explorer

Geysers are vents in the surface of a planet or moon which periodically release hot water or steam. Geysers can take time to build up the correct amount of pressure to erupt, so they are not always active, which can make them difficult to spot from high altitudes. Some geysers, known as ice geysers or cryogeysers, release ice, dust, and volatiles. Geysers are not to be confused with Fumaroles, Gas Vents, or Lava Spouts.

Types

There are six known types of geysers:

 • Ammonia Ice Geysers
 • Carbon Dioxide Ice Geysers
 • Methane Ice Geysers
 • Nitrogen Ice Geysers
 • Water Geysers
 • Water Ice Geysers

These are some known locations with geysers.[1]
