Limpet Controller

Limpet Controllers are the controllers for drones. The drones can be launched from the ship to do various tasks depending on the type of limpet. The limpets are disposable, consumable items you have to replenish at a Starport under the Munitions section. All types of drones share the same disposable items.

Drone Types

Hatch Breaker

Hatch Breaker drones can be fired upon the targeted ship and upon contact eject the target's cargo over time. To counter these drones Point Defences is the most effective.

Collector

Collector drones will be added in version 1.3 and will prove useful for pirates needing to gather cargo in a hurry and also to improve mining efficiency.

Collection drones will work in two ways. In its primary mode, you'll target a cargo canister or mining chunk, launch the drone and it will scoop the object and return it to your open cargo hatch. The secondary mode has an area effect, scooping everything it can before its power expires.

Prospector

Prospector drones will be able to scan asteroids for their composition to make finding the right most profitable asteroids faster.

Fuel Transferer

The upcoming Fuel Transferer drones will let players swap fuel while in flight. Larger freight ships can carry additional fuel through extra Fuel Tanks for their escort fighters and extend the effective range of their Wings.
