Sorry to pester, but I would still appreciate the example. The old Module:Infobox isn't entirely mobile-friendly, so getting it updated to PortableInfobox would be ideal sooner rather than later - and it doesn't sound like the issue is complicated.
The issue with Template:StationInfobox was that the station type. When there is no image and station type os Orbis, Ocellus, or Coriolis, an image would be added instead of placeholder to showcase the station type. You can see the station type placeholder images linked in Module:StationInfobox
Can we make the theme header color darker? Because it would decrease the contrast between the bright yellow header and dark colors of the wiki. The theme header could be dark yellow, brown, dark blue or gray.
It should definitely stay orange since that's such a ubiquitous color in the game and official materials. The shade used most commonly on the game's website for things like the logo is F07B05, which is slightly darker than the color we've been using for the header and buttons (FF9933). If we need to update the color, then I think it should be to that.
Yeah, most of those of those could work for me (aside from #2 and #7 from the top). I think the point of the current header color was to evoke to the in-game HUD, and I'd like to continue that if possible.
I could also agree to Spytec's choice from the previous image if he's dead-set on it, so let's see what his final opinion is.
The comments follow a pattern: the first letter of nearly every word in them is capitalized, there's almost no punctuation, and the content is semi-incomprehensible. Read a fewof themat random, they go off in all directions. Recently, the comments have also been veering into conspiracy theories and possibly bigotry (it's honestly hard to tell what exactly his point is), as seen here.
For now, these comments are more of an annoyance than blatantly disruptive, so I'm not sure they cross a line yet. In any event, I wanted to bring them to your attention. I'm willing to go back to ignoring them if you don't feel it's necessary to delete them or block the IPs.
Hey-O! I’m Ursuul, another member of Vanguard, hoping to follow up on a Portable Infobox conversation that sputtered out in March of last year. I wanted to apologize for the radio silence of sorts, but we would like to begin working in earnest with you to get the last few Infoboxes converted, styled, & to make sure your Lua modules can be migrated as well. We’ll be resuming where we left off, & hopefully we’ll have some results for you soon!
If you have any questions by all means let me know.
Univero raised an interesting question on my wall about whether or not we can legally transcribe certain info from Elite Dangerous on the wiki, such as GalNet reports and the new Knowledge Base entries added by 3.3.
Do you know if this is prohibited by Wikia, or if Frontier is against it? And if Frontier's permission is necessary, is there any possibility that you (since you seem fairly high-profile in the community) would be able to get in touch with them and request it?
It should be fine. If Frontier inquiries they will do so towards Wikia and we will get notified
Edit: Though to clarify, if content is transcribed it should be formatted as a quote correctly. Not be the article as a whole. At that point you might as well rewrite the article and simply cite the in-game description (which if not part of the article can be a referenced subarticle with the transcribed content
