The Veil Nebula West, also called is a nebula in the Inner Orion Spur. It is the western companion of the Veil Nebula East. Created approximately 9,000 years ago, it stretches over 60LY in diameter. The super heated hydrogen (red) and oxygen (blue-green) throw shimmering patterns across the night sky of the worlds nearby.
