fumarole是行星地殼上的一個開口，可使氣體和溶解的礦物從地表深處噴射到周圍環境或沉積在開口的周圍。fumarole可以在行星和衛星的不同地方找到。它們通常在詳細地資料表掃描儀中以地質信號的形式出現，後面跟著一個括弧，表示掃描器檢測到該位置的順序（例如地質信號（14））。

法典有兩類：fumarole and ice fumarole。常規的fumarole往往是大而圓的；在整個地質地點的大小不一。ice fumarole通常較薄，有時會在噴發期發出熾熱的光芒。這種熾熱的光芒會在每個地質地點的噴口之間交替出現，每次只有一個或兩個fumaroles在噴發。

備註

• 在Elite Dangerous: Beyond'之前。 第四章，探險者會記錄下噴泉位置的行星體、經緯度，供日後參考。人工發現這些地點可能需要很多小時甚至幾天的時間。第4章對發現工具的改進使得這些位置能夠自動記錄在法典中，便於參考。該更新的一個不幸的副作用是，一些經典的地質地點被刪除或被嚴重修改。
• 地質地點是養殖原料合成的首要地點。fumarole地點會在fumarole通風口的一側產生晶簇、水晶碎片、針狀晶體和碧玉鵝卵石的組合。用SRV鐳射炮射出這些物體，就可以用貨物鏟收集它們。
